Conjunctured

Michele Bousquet

Last night at the 3ds Max Users Meeting (AAUGA or Ahooga as we say) Michele Bousquet gave a presentation.
(She wrote our Animation 2 book at ITT.)
She works at Turbosquid, where 3d artists can sell their computer models.
She said some artists make 30-100k a year doing it — but they have hundreds of models.
Check out Turbosquid and see if you can make some money uploading a model.
Cars and people are the biggest sellers. Read up on Checkmate and make your model the pro way.
This humorous video shows what can go wrong, when Turbosquid customers don’t understand what a 3D model is — or isn’t.

For educators: Austin Learners Group

Hi guys,
I started a facebook group called (for now) Austin Learners Group.
The purpose is for my friends who are teachers in Austin to network and discuss opportunities in a rapidly changing world of education.
This is not only for art and design instructors, but anyone who has a role in learning.
We are working on getting together a meeting in a coffee shop some evening coming up, dependent upon interest.
